BBI stands for three things:
For our foundation — Buska Bo Identidat — Find Your Identity. We heal the intergenerational trauma of slavery and
colonialism in Dutch Caribbean communities through
healing workshops, ancestry research, and youth programs.

For our therapy practice — Balanced Behavior Intervention. We support children and adults with learning disabilities, ASD, ADHD, and behavioral challenges with evidence-based
ABA therapy and individualized plans.

For our Blue Wave campaign — Break Barriers Intentionally.
We celebrate Curaçao's historic World Cup debut while
investing 10% of every purchase in youth programs
of the island.

Healing Our Roots

BBI Foundation in official partnership with
the gemeente — is developing programs to heal
intergenerational trauma rooted in the history
of slavery in the Dutch Caribbean community.
We know that trauma travels through generations — in our behavior,our beliefs, and even our biology. Our work is to interrupt that cycle.

Programs include:• Community healing workshops• Ancestry and identity research support• Youth empowerment and identity programs• Education on African and Caribbean history.

This program is currently in active development.

ONE ISLAND. ONE HEART. ONE CORE. From Curaçao to the World

Born in the US and grew up in Curaçao. I felt the weight of colonial education and poverty. And then I went to university anyway. My master's degree in Social Psychology, my training in ABA therapy, and my lived experience are the foundation of everything BBI does.

I built BBI because I know what it feels like to be told you cannot —and I refused to believe it.—

And I know those barriers can be broken — intentionally.
